Two Boise parents were arrested after their 4-year-old daughter died in a car fire. You would assume the arrest would stem from this unfortunate situation but there's more to the story than you may realize.

The girl was sleeping in the parked car with her mother and another child when a portable heater sparked the blaze in the early morning hours of April 10. The flames spread quickly, engulfing the car

Apparently, the girl (Alliee Rose) and the mother were sleeping in the car next to a portable heater which sparked a blaze and eventually spread to the car. The mother and another child (a toddler) escaped but Alliee did not.

The charges aren't even connected to Alliee's death. The mother and father allegedly had drugs in the vicinity of the children. This is obviously a horrible reminder that child abuse is still prevalent in our community.
