As Coach Harsin and the Broncos continue to prepare for the smack down they're about to lay on Coach Pete and the Washington Huskies, there's a huge elephant in the room for fans.  Would you participate in a standing ovation when Coach Pete is introduced as the head coach for Washington?

I saw an article yesterday suggesting that people participate in a standing ovation for Chris Petersen when he walks onto the blue in the opposing team's colors on September 4th.  While I respect and appreciate everything Coach Pete did to build BSU's football program into what it is today, I think it would actually pain me to get up on my feet to welcome him back "home" because...well, he left home and didn't look back.

He's kinda like an ex-husband that divorced on good terms if you think about it.  Someone that you spent many years with and you've got mad respect for them so you don't particularly wish ill will on them, but at the same time you don't exactly want to see them do well either.  Plus, he took custody of the kids.  Former BSU assistant coaches Bob Gregory, Chris Stausser, Pete Kwiatkowski, Jeff Choate, Brent Pease, Jonathan Smith and Keith Bhonapha all went with him.  Heck, he even has Kirby Moore as graduate assistant.

I won't necessarily boo Pete, but I'm not participating in a standing O for him.  And when I cheer for him?  That cheer is going to be "BEAT PETE!"
