While we've known him as Flo-Rida ever since "Low" came out in 2008, the man behind the mic is actually named Tramar Lacel Dillard. So why "Flo-Rida"? Because he's from Florida. Makes sense.

Before he was an international sensation, Flo was raised in Florida alongside seven sisters, some of which sang in a local gospel group. To bring it full circle to hip-hop, Flo's brother-in-law was a hype man for the O.G. rap group 2 Live Crew.

Before he was Mr. Apple Bottom Jeans, Flo-Rida was getting his learn on. Flo studied business management at University Of Nevada, Las Vegas, as well as a short studying stint at Barry University.
