Everyone is having barbecues, swimming in pools and playing outside. You can take it to another level. Dooooooooodgeballllllll tournament!

Thanksgiving day traditionally includes watching football or playing football outside in the frigid weather with the family. The 4th of July could now include playing dodgeball outside with the family.

Grab a few friends or join a team for the 5th Annual Charity Dodgeball Tournament hosted by the Boise Parks and Rec.

Ages 16 and over are invited.

The tournament is being held on the 4th of July at Shoshone Park - 2800 Canal Street. A captain's meeting and practice begins at 10:30 a.m. and play starts at 11:00 a.m.

For just $5 to play, the money goes toward youth scholarships, adventure program for people with disabilities or Playcamps.

Of course you'll get a tshirt. What's a dodgeball tournament without having the shirt to prove it? You can wear it with pride to your afternoon BBQ and for fireworks.
