It's Valentine's Day eve! Oh snap, you didn't pick up a gift for your sweetie yet?  Never fear, here are five totally romantic gifts that won't cause you to break the bank. You can still pull off the day.  Don't worry, they'll never figure out that you forgot!

Beer and Nuts

This seems too easy and maybe un-thoughtful to some, but if your man appreciates a good brew, this is a good idea. Trust me. The way to personalize it and make it seem personal is to go somewhere like Whole Foods to pick out the beer. They allow you to customize a six pack from the singles in their coolers. Pick out six of your man's favorite beers, dress up the cardboard carrier and BOOM, you're the best girlfriend ever. Also, if your man prefers drafts to bottles or cans, Whole Foods does pints to go in mason jars in the River Room. You can snag them for only a $1 more than you'd pay to enjoy it up there.

 Collage

Guys take note. One of my exes pretty much sucked at everything in our relationship (I can say that now because years later we are really good friends), but the one thing he always nailed was sentimental gifts. For the Valentine's Day we spent together, he did the cliché dozen roses for me (only because he knew that it was the one thing that I really wanted), but he also presented me with this huge wrapped up frame. When I opened it, I found one of the most romantic gifts ever. In the months that we'd been together he'd collected ticket stubs from concerts/movies we went to, receipts from nice dinners that we enjoyed, etc and put them together into a collage with pictures of the two of us. Still one of the coolest gifts I've ever received.

Walgreens

No, don't buy them a franchise. I know SNL did a skit last year about not picking out your gift last minute at competing pharmacy, but Walgreens really is your gold mine. Their photo department offers same day pick up for some extremely well done photo books and the 8.5 x 11 one costs you just $19.99. Seriously sentimental, seriously romantic, and done in about an hour. Did I mention they also have a pretty decent wine selection? It's not top shelf, but you can get a nice bottle of Cupcake or Menage A Tois (two of my favs) for about $9.99. Plus, they carry Hallmark products. If you get a her a Hallmark card, she knows you care.

50 Reasons I Love You Jar

This will literally cost you under $10. What you need: mini Reese's cups (what girl doesn't love Reese's Cups?!), a mason jar, small dot stickers from an office supply store and a nice ribbon to tie around the jar. On each of the 50 dot stickers write a reason you love your significant other. Put that sticker on the bottom of a Reese's Cup. Fill the jar with the Reese's Cups. Tie the nice ribbon around it. You've got a deliciously romantic gift that didn't take long or cost much to put together.

12 Pre-planned Dates

It's the gift that keeps on giving each year. In 12 envelopes place the name of a pre-planned date. Know that Luke Bryan is her favorite artist of all time and he'll be here in May? Put the name of the concert (and tickets if you've already bought them) in the March envelope. Even if there's not something huge planned for each month, you can put local things in there too, like dinner at her favorite restaurant, generic movie tickets, or tour/wine tasting at Ste. Chappelle.
