I wish I could un-see the pictures of these Gogo Squeez applesauce packages.  The pictures will you throw out any you may have sitting in your pantry.

I made the mistake of clicking an article on The Frisky about the recall and was absolutely horrified by the pictures of mold parents found in their child's "healthy snack."  The good news?  Those photos were from a recall they issued last fall.  But the makers of Gogo Squeez squeezable applesauce, are issuing another a voluntary recall of packets with expiration dates from 12/4/15 to 3/4/17.  If you'd like a replacement, the company is more happy to give you one.  You can obtain yours by calling them at 1-844-275-5841 or by filling out an online form.

This is the second time in six months that the company has issued a recall the product. Last fall it was because of mold.  This time around, the recall was potential adulteration from food product residue.

Gogo Squeez does have a plant in Nampa, but it was not involved with this recall.  The recall only affects packets manufactured at the Traverse City plant.  Even if though the mold isn't part of this recall I still want to get these pictures out of my head.
