"It's Sugar" in The Village at Meridian is about to get a new neighbor and I couldn't be more stoked for it!

When I was a kid, my favorite days ever were the days where my mom and Grandma Bistrica took me shopping at our local mall. I'll never forget my strong hate for Ruby Tuesday's ONLY because I thought Broccoli Cheddar Soup was gross (I was a kid and well...broccoli!) the fact that the our JC Penney's had a restaurant in it, buying Beanie Babies and of course going the sweet smells of a Cinnabon. When they were talking about the "Rust Belt" area of Ohio during election coverage last night, I want you to know that's where I grew up.  When the steel mills closed, the local economy took a dive and is still struggling to battle back. (Seriously, Idaho...you have it good! This is part of why I LOVE everything about moving here!) That mall is now a shell of its former self and most of the stores I remember are gone...including the Cinnabon.

My childhood memories of cinnamon rolls with my mom and Grandma are why I'm so excited to find out that Cinnaholic FINALLY has an opening date and location.  We heard rumblings of it's arrival in Meridian last fall, but had no idea where it was moving in at.  According to the Idaho Statesman, the bakery will move in to 3693 E. Longwing Lane next to It's Sugar in The Village at Meridian.  Cinnaholic will open it's doors sometime mid March and if it's successful at The Village, it's franchisees may consider opening a second location in Downtown Boise.

The bakery is famous for their dairy and egg free cinnamon rolls and lets customers customize their flavors and toppings! Like local favorite Proof Eyewear, they've also made an appearance on ABC's Shark Tank.  Like Proof, they declined an offer from one of the stars to keep their own path.  They had over a dozen frosting flavors like Cake Batter, Chai, Cream Cheese, Marshmallow and Peanut Butter. On top of that you can add toppings like brownie bites, chocolate chips, cookie dough, gingersnap cookies, Oreos, pretzels and more!
