St Luke's Fit One is right around the corner and the organizers of the event are looking for volunteers to help! Currently there are estimated to be over 10k runners at this years races which take place September 22 2018.

The Fit One Website States:

Volunteers are the heart of FitOne! We need a team of nearly 1,000 volunteers to support the FitOne 5K, 10K and half marathon. We'd love for you to join us on race day to assist with set up, help keep our courses safe as a course marshal or handout water to racers. All registered volunteers will receive a t-shirt to wear during your shift.

According to the site, there are also a variety of volunteer positions with varying ages needed.

Finish Festival Park Set-up: Ages 18+

Location: Meet at the Americana entrance to Ann Morrison Park.
Volunteers will help set up tables, chairs, signs, recycling containers, trash boxes, etc. outdoors in Ann Morrison Park. This job requires physical activity and moderate lifting. Volunteers will most likely be on their feet the duration of the shift and may be asked to drive materials around the park in golf carts. Plenty of parking is available in the park; please dress appropriately for the weather conditions. For safety, no open-toe sandals or flip flops allowed.

Start Line Set-up: Ages 18+

Location: Meet at Capitol Park (Capitol Blvd./Bannock St.)
Volunteers will help set up fencing, signage, flagging and other components of the start line area. This job requires physical activity and moderate lifting. Volunteers will most likely be on their feet the duration of the shift. Please dress appropriately for the weather conditions. For safety, no open-toe sandals or flip flops allowed.

Start Line: Ages 16+

Location: Meet at the Volunteer Tent at Capitol Park (Capitol Blvd/Bannock St).
Volunteers will set up and take down the FitOne Start Line area. Duties include maintaining crowd control, assisting and redirecting at roadblocks, providing directional information, and helping with cleanup once participants have started the race.

Finish Line: Ages 16+

Location: Meet at the Volunteer Tent at Ann Morrison Park.
Duties include setting up flagging materials, signs and barricades. On race day, volunteers will encourage racers and hand out water as participants cross the finish line. You must bring an enthusiastic personality and a big smile!

Breakfast Set-Up & Server: Ages 14+

Location: Check in at the Volunteer Booth at Ann Morrison Park.
Volunteers will be responsible for setup, pre-bagging and serving of breakfast items, and cleanup.

Water Tent at Finish Festival: Ages 14+

Location: Check in at the Volunteer Booth at Ann Morrison Park.
Volunteers will be responsible for setup, distribution of bottled water to participants at the finish line, and cleanup of tent area.

Finish Festival Green Team: Ages 12+ 

Location: Check in at the Volunteer Tent at Ann Morrison Park.
Volunteers will set up trash boxes and recycling bins in Eco Stations around the park. Volunteers will encourage attendees to use the bins and help educate on proper sorting at the point of disposal. Volunteers ages 18+ will transport both trash and recyclables via golf carts and mules to the appropriate dumpsters.

Depot Water Station: Ages 12+

Location: Check in at the Boise Depot Plaza (2603 W. Eastover Terrace)
Volunteers will set up the water station area and prepare cups of water for participants prior to the start of the event. Volunteers will hand out water during the events and assist with cleanup after the race.
