Boise #2 Safest City To Drive In The U.S.

Boise just landed herself atop another list, and this one is great news for drivers in the Treasure Valley!

NerdWallet compiled a list of the top 200 cities for drivers in the United States, and Boise lands at a solid #2 spot.

The list was put together by analyzing fatal crashes, the likelihood of getting into an accident, the amount of time between accidents, the risk of break-ins, and the percentage of stolen vehicles.

Boise trails only Cary, NC, while my home city of Detroit, MI is the worst city for drivers. The average insurance rate in Boise is $819, while in Detroit it's over $5,000!

No stats have been revealed on which cities are best for trying to cross the street while eating a hot dog from the cart on the corner when leaving the bars at 2am.
