Two air traffic controllers were unable to be reached the on November 19th at the Boise Airport.  Two helicopters, both from St. Luke's Hospital, were unable to communicate at all with air traffic control because of this-- one departing the airport and the other arriving from the St. Luke's downtown Boise.

After Boise Police became alarmed of the situation and attempted several times to get the towers attention.  Once they finally gained access to the tower, they found that the control area smelt of marijuana and one of the two air traffic controllers admitted to being asleep.
