Our city was shaken to it's core this past weekend when the largest mass casualty crime in its history was committed off of State Street. One man with an evil motive attacked a small apartment complex that is home to a portion of our local refugee community. He stabbed 9, 6 of which were children, during a 3-year-old's birthday party.

As a community, thousands have come together to show their support. Just yesterday, there was a rally on the steps of Boise City Hall at which people brought white flowers and balloons to show their support. City officials spoke and the spirit of Boise really shined.

The Balcony Club in downtown Boise has been one of many businesses to spring into action and find ways to help the victims.

This Friday from 8:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. at The Balcony Club, 100% of sales will be donated to victims of the State Street Apartments.

I spoke with the manager at The Balcony, Rodney Busbee, just this afternoon. He said "Let's help our community and share the love".  I would say that's a pretty good idea, Boise.

The Balcony Club is located on the corner of 8th & Idaho.
