I desperately want Friday to get here.  Is it because I want to shop for all those Black Friday Deals? No! It's so I can curl up on the couch and watch the Netflix revival of one of my favorite TV shows!

Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life finally hits Netflix on Friday, November 25th and according to the Idaho Statesman there's a new cookbook to help you prepare all of your favorite Gilmore Girls meals/treats! The new cookbook is called "Eat Like a Gilmore" that features over 100 recipes that Rory, Lorelei and rest of the Stars Hollow's crew ate or mentioned on the show.

The Statesman enrolled three local Gilmore Girls fans to try some of the recipes like the Founders Day Punch made famous Miss Patty.  On the show it led to some of the wackiest moments like Loreli's bar dance and Rory waking up on the bathroom floor after her first encounter with the punch.  Taylor's Chocolate Chocolate Chocolate ice cream and the warm potato and chorizo salad Sookie made Jackson the day she accidentally flirted with another man were also put to the test but the Treasure Valley taste testers: Polly Breneman of The Modern Hotel, Carey Shuffler of the Idaho Law Foundation and Allison Maier of the Idaho Humane Society.

If you plan on binge watching the original series before the revival appears on Netflix, are the recipes worth trying? Check out the taste testers reviews HERE. Want to order the book for your favorite Gilmore Girls fan for Christmas? Grab it on Amazon HERE.

There's no doubt that the Treasure Valley is excited for Gilmore Girls: A Year in a Life! A little over a month ago I stood in the cold with hundreds of fans outside Flying M when it turned into the iconic Luke's (from the series) for just one day! If you didn't get a chance to come out check out my pictures from Gilmore Girls Day HERE!
