"The old system worked for Boise State.  The new system worked for Boise State.  If you go to school outside the Power 5...go to Boise State." Those were ESPN's Chris Fowler's words as Boise State was selected to play the VIZIO Fiesta Bowl against the #10 Arizona Wildcats.

The match-up goes down at the University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Arizona on Wednesday, December 31st at 2 PM.

Ticket Info

Boise State has been allotted $1.94 million in tickets to sell for the game (12,500 tickets) and needs to sell all of them to collect their $3.25 million payout for playing in the game.  Unpurchased ticket money will come out of the school's check they receive from the bowl game.  Bronco fans can purchase their tickets through Broncosports.com.

Most of those tickets run $162, but students will be able to purchase up to two tickets at $57 a piece.  There are also a limited number of club seats available for $270 or $315.

Depending on their priority rank in the Bronco Athletic Association, season ticket holders may reserve between six and twenty Fiesta Bowl tickets and have until 9 PM on Tuesday, December 9th to make their requests.  The general public can put in a request for up to six tickets now and will be informed on Wednesday, December 10th if their request to obtain tickets was successful.  Everyone, including infants, need a ticket to enter the bowl game.

Coach Pete's Response

Another interesting twist in the Boise State Fiesta Bowl narrative is the fact that the Bronco's former head coach, Chris Petersen will also be taking his team to Glendale.  The Washington Huskies will face Oklahoma State in the Ticketcity Cactus Bowl on January 2nd.  When asked what he thought about the Broncos winning their first MWC title against the Fresno State Bulldogs he said "I always take interest in it.  I know all those coaches and all those kids we recruited over there...I'm thrilled for them.  I mean that sincerely, it's awesome that they're going back to Arizona."

Coach Harsin and the Broncos will attack the future against Coach Pete and the Huskies on "The Blue" on either September 3rd or 4th of next year in the first game of the season.
