The longevity of the The Huddle at Caven-Williams was short lived.  It will not return for the 2016 Broncos season.

Last year, Boise State was able to serve beer or wine before home games at "The Huddle" inside the Caven-Williams Sports Complex.  The set-up allowed fans who had tickets to that day's game to pay for a craft beer or wine up to 30 minutes before game time.  They also had food from local companies and food trucks for families to purchase if they didn't have a tailgate spot.  Plus, you were able to catch other day's big game on HDTVs around the sports complex.

Unfortunately, the State Board of Education has decided to go back to it's original policy that only allowed alcohol to be poured for corporate sponsors and their friends in the Stueckle Sky Center seating. A board spokesperson said the decision was to ensure the safety of each fan attending a game.

Only one board member opposed the decision to resume the old alcohol policy.  That board member had hoped to keep "The Huddle" alive.  The future of the family friendly alternative to tailgating is now up in the air.
