A winning streak for Boise State which has included a win over a ranked opponent--Fresno State--has meant that the Bronco's are back to the ranking and in the national spotlight. While a two-loss Boise State team this early on in the season isn't something that Bronco fans are used to seeing, it's what we have to work with and it doesn't mean that it's all over with.

Going into week 12, the experts have Boise State projected to play in ONE bowl game and all agree: The Famous Idaho Potato Bowl.

Certainly, this isn't the most exciting situation for Boise State, even though it's at home. What happens if Boise State wins out? Perhaps other teams lose? Well, here's the crazy thing: a major bowl game is suddenly possible again.

Utah State, currently ranked #14 is ahead of Boise State. A victory here means they'll fall back and Boise is sure to jump them. UCF, who is #11, has their toughest and I would argue first real challenge of the season against a tough, ranked, Cincinati team this week. A loss will me a serious drop in the rankings. Are you picking up what I'm implying here? A loss from UCF and a win from Boise State could mean the Broncos suddenly become the highest ranked Non-Power Five team: hello, New Years bowl game.
