Boise Venue Set to Change Purpose

If you've been around Boise for a while you are probably well aware of the Powerhouse Event Center.  Several concerts, after parties, and special events have happened at the Powerhouse Event Center over the years that many have attended. If you haven't been to an event here, chances are you have passed it while driving into downtown Boise-- it's the large building to your right on the connector that has been for lease since early 2016.

I always thought this venue would be a great space to hold various events for the right buyer, however Windermere Real Estate has applied to convert the building-- from event space to a general business office. With the desired changes, occupancy would drop from 867 to only 75.

The historic building has stood since 1912 and was originally build to do exactly what the name states-- produce power for the city!
