Boise is known as a town where you do not drink and drive. Not only because it's dangerous and irresponsible, but because Boise PD doesn't play any games when it comes to driving under the influence. Get caught slipping, your mug shot will be put on Ada County Sherrif and you'll spend the night in jail, not to mention lots and lots of fines. So, when I saw that a Boise Police Officer was arrested for DUI it caught my attention.

A Boise Police detective has been placed on paid suspension following his arrest on a DUI charge last month.
Det. Jim Adams, 47, was arrested by the Canyon County Sheriff's Office Aug. 23.
According to Boise Police, the sheriff's office responded to a call for service near Boehner Road and Fargo Road in Wilder just after 10:30 p.m. that night.

Now, don't think that I'm posting this just to pick on the police. I'm a huge advocate for public safety officers and respect them immensely, they have a very difficult job. I'm going to withhold my judgment until all the facts of the case are made public, however, if found guilty, this officer should be held accountable for his actions.
