She's "Mrs. Extra! Extra! This just in!"—and last night, she solidified her morning headlines.

Britney Spears sent fans into a frenzy when she busted out a live cover of Bonnie Raitt's country-tinged rock staple "Something to Talk About" during her Piece of Me residency in Las Vegas on Saturday (August 19).

The surprise cover, which Spears belted with bluesy aplomb, came after the Princess of Pop addressed the many ups and downs of her relationship with the press.

"I've been doing a lot of thinking lately, right? Okay, this morning I woke up and looked at the news and a lot of things going on in the world and stuff... The press and the media are my whole life. It's really crazy 'cause one minute they tear you down, they're really horrible, and the next minute you're on top of the world, you know? But I never really spoke about," she shared with the crowd.

"I'm a Southern girl. I'm from Louisiana. I'm from the south. I like to keep it real, so I just wanna make sure I keep giving you motherf---ers something to talk about," Spears continued, before launching into Raitt's classic f----you anthem.
