The last post on the Pub's Facebook page was an invitation to watch Amanda Nunes take down Ronda Rousey at UFC 207.  Just three days later, their doors were closed.

One of my high school best friends is visiting this week, so my boyfriend and I decided to show him breweries in the Treasure Valley on Monday.  Leaving our neighborhood, we drove past the Tilted Kilt on Broadway and to our surprise, it looked very closed.

Outside signs read "remodel coming soon" and the digital sign was advertising a new restaurant called "Tap & Cask."  My boyfriend and I are seasoned vets of the Old Chicago World Beer Tour, so anytime we find out that there's a new restaurant with a ton of tap handles opening in our neighborhood we're pretty stoked!

I tried to track down more information about the new restaurant and hit a lot of dead ends.  Our friend Don at Boise Dev, found a Facebook page describing Tap & Cask as a warm, inviting barrel house environment with contagious fun energy of an old fashioned speakeasy. They're also said to feature 36 tap handles.

Tilted Kilt moved into the old Murphy's location on Broadway during early 2014.  It's successor, Tap & Cask could open as soon as January 9th.
