My friend Kimberly and I went to Ste. Chapelle on Saturday enjoy a glass of wine and get crafty for a good cause!

A few weeks ago, a flyer at Ste. Chapelle caught my eye while my guy and I were showing my mom around the Sunnyslope wine region.  The winery was hosting a cork ornament crafting party and I'm all about Christmas crafts.  With my boyfriend out of town this weekend, there was no better moment for some quality girl time than Saturday afternoon so my friend Kimberly and I headed out to the winery.

For the cost of a glass of wine, Ste. Chapelle let you pick out two brown bags that had all the corks and supplies you needed to make an angel, wreath, bunch of grapes, snowman, candy cane or reindeer ornament. You got to take one ornament home with you and donate the other to their Mistletoe Market.

The Mistletoe Market is Saturday, December 10th at the winery's tasting room from 12-4 p.m.  You'll be able to enjoy a holiday wine tasting and shop for everyone on your list.  Local artists and designers will have one of a kind gifts for you take home.  Those gifts include the hundreds of ornaments we and the others that attending the cork party made.

The proceeds from the ornaments benefit the Idaho Guard & Reserve Family Support Fund that helps assist on an as needed basis for members of the Idaho National Guard & Reservists in Idaho-based units and their families. Check out the photo gallery to see how our ornaments came together and the other goodies that'll be on sale this upcoming Saturday!
