I grew up as the daughter of a liturgy coordinator at a Catholic church so I've seen some pretty wacky things happen during mass...but nothing like this!

A tree fell over during confirmation.  Paramedics had to respond to an elderly person in the middle of mass.  Someone threw up on the carpet.  None of those things top this priest from the Philippines performing a Christmas song while riding a hoverboard after communion.

Personally, I think this is an awesome way to connect today's pop culture to the liturgy but the Dioceses of San Pablo didn't exactly agree.  In a statement they said "That was wrong. The Eucharist demands utmost respect and reverence. It is the Memorial of the Lord’s Sacrifice....It is the Church’s highest form of worship. Consequently, it is not a personal celebration where one can capriciously introduce something to get the attention of the people."

The priest has been suspended for an unknown amount of time to "reflect on past events."
