Celebrate Educators on National Teachers Day

Today is National Teachers Day and it's one of the most important days, in my opinion, of the whole year.

I'm glad that the days of school and essay writing are behind me-- but the educators that often times assigned that annoying work, for the entire duration of my academic life, are heroes.  Teachers sacrifice a lot to shape our future--and that's not an exaggeration. Without school and those who care about developing young minds-- would would run the country in 20 years?

Teachers have, over the years, been my biggest role models and some have become my best friends-- ones I see nearly every weekend for beers and other fun.

Which teachers have been your favorites? Was there one in particular that really stretched the way you look at the world? Maybe they just helped you pass that one really difficult math test. It all adds up.

Today I thought about every single teacher I've had and jotted down the ones that I'll have taught me at least ONE thing in life I'll never forget. I had no idea the list would be so long. Here's a quick shout out to the teachers that made a difference in my life-- and I can almost guarantee I'm forgetting a handful.
