September is International Women's Friendship month.  Part of celebrating women's friendship is looking out for the women around us that are trapped inside dangerous relationships.  That's exactly what the SueB 5K benefiting the WCA is all about!

103.5 KISS FM was lucky enough to be asked to host the 7th Annual SueB 5K on Sunday, October 2nd at Julia Davis Park.  The run/walk honors the memory of Susan Elaine Brubaker Newby who died during a mysterious horseback riding incident.  It wasn't until after her death that her friends and family began to suspect that Sue was trapped inside an abusive marriage and didn't know who to turn to for help.  Her sister Marjory and friends Leslie and Teresa, turned to the WCA to put together the annual 5K to help raise domestic violence awareness.
