Christmas in Meridian kicks off the first week of December with Winter Lights Parade, Downtown Tree Lighting, and special Candy Cane Fun Run.

Winter Lights Parade & Tree Lighting

Downtown Meridian is hosting this year's Winter Lights Parade and Christmas Tree Lighting Friday, December 1. I just read you will see Buddy the Elf and friend Jovie on the main stage to help Santa Claus light the ceremonial tree this season.

This weekend's weather? It's Idaho! That means you never know but expect chilly temperatures. There will be warming stations to keep you warm including hot cocoa throughout the parade route. Stay till after the parade and join in on the free horse carriage rides.

The Pulse Candy Cane Stroll

This is what great about small communities like this. Sometimes I feel like I'm living in one of those Hallmark Christmas movies with all the tree lightings and special 5k events. Well, here's another one!

Looks like over 165 spots left at $5 each with registration ending on November 30. This isn't any type of competitive event, but more of holiday celebration with the family. Feel free to run or walk. Just bring your Christmas spirit and have fun.

Run/Walk begins at The Pulse Running & Fitness Shop located at 520 S Meridian Rd Ste 60 in Meridian. This is approximately 1.25 miles and with your registration, you receive a fun light to map your path. There will be hot chocolate, ugly sweater contest and more. Check-in is at 5:15 p.m.
