If you've lived in Boise or the greater Treasure Valley area for at least 10 years, you may have noticed how much this area has grown. If you've lived in the area longer than that, there's no doubt you've seen our town grow substantially. When I moved here in 2007, I enjoyed many of the benefits our "Big Small City" had to offer. It's beautiful, safe, and clean. Commute times were short and the cost of living was low. Now it's 2018 and the Treasure Valley is the fastest growing area in the country. The secrets out. But if you've noticed some of the pitfalls of this massive growth, the city of Boise want's to hear from you and is conducting two community workshops focused on growth.

According to the city, the workshops will help start a conversation on the benefits and challenges of growth, while also giving residents a chance to voice their thoughts on the subject.
The workshops will also give city leaders an opportunity to "provide context" for the city's comprehensive plan for managing growth - called Blueprint Boise
The first workshop takes place  June 20 6 - 8 p.m. at Saint Alphonsus McCleary Auditorium. The second, will happens June 26 from 6 - 8 p.m. at the Boise State Alumni and Friends Center.
