One of my favorite parts of Crooked Fence's beers is that they make the attempt to connect their brews back to a local cause, but their newest brews have you wondering is this a coincidence or some sort of political statement?

My favorite Crooked Fence Beer right now is the Pedal Pusher Pale that I tried in the Whole Foods River Room earlier this week.  It's connected to the Boise Bicycle Project, so I feel like I'm getting some refreshment after a run while giving back to the community.

Their newest brew, the Little B**** Otter India Brown Ale, will see 10% of it's proceeds donated toward equality causes like Add the Words Idaho.  While the owners say the new beer isn't necessarily named after Idaho's Governor, the logo (and slogan "Unfortunately brewed in Idaho") sure suggests that after the Governor decided to appeal District Judge Candy Dale's overturning of Idaho's Same-Sex Marriage Ban, that this is some sort of political statement.

If you enjoy a good craft beer and this little poke at Idaho politics, you can try the new beer at the official release party at Prefunk on Front Street, Thursday May 29th at 6 PM.  They'll have t-shirts, bombers and posters with that logo on it.
