A few months ago, my fiancé was able to lock down tickets to the sold out Adult Night at the Discovery Center! What sucked was watching people be turned away at the door...but there's good news if you want to have a beer with a dinosaur!

The Discovery Center of Idaho is hosting a third installment of "A Brew With Sue" on St. Patty's Day.  That's this Friday, March 17th from 6:30 - 9:30 p.m.  It's a special viewing of their "A T. Rex Named Sue" exhibit for those 21+.  And since this Adult Night falls on the Irish holiday, the Discovery Center is adding to their exhibits.  They'll include exhibits about the science behind shamrocks, rainbows and Idaho Gold & Silver.

Even though I got to go to the January "Brew With Sue," I would love to go to this one to hear what the Idaho State Historical Society has to say about gold mining in the Gem State! After all, I didn't realize that it played a big role in Boise's now defunct China Town and the local mystery about whether or not there are Chinese tunnels under the Downtown Boise!

Boise Fry Company is customizing a menu of dinosaur themed snacks.  Powderhaus will be there pouring beer and wine too.  Drinks and beverages are available for purchase. Tickets are $18 in advance through the Discovery Center or $20 at the door.

We really enjoyed the first Brew with Sue and it was my first trip to the Discovery Center (RIGHT?! It only took me 6.5 years to get there.)  In addition to the replica of Sue's skeleton, the exhibit includes some really cool info about how Sue got her name, how depictions of the T-Rex have changed from the 1800s to Jurassic Park and beyond and how dinosaurs saw each other.  Check out some of my pictures from the first "Brew with Sue" below!
