Getting the mailman a little gift for Christmas isn't uncommon.

Gifts for the garbage man? This is news to me.

We were talking in the hallways about who do you give a gift to for Christmas. Family, friends, coworkers, your boss, all pretty common right? Then someone said they were shopping for a gift for their garbage man.

Look, I have nothing against my friendly neighborhood garbage men and garbage women. They're great, they work hard, and are always on time at my house. But a Christmas gift? Is that a little much?

The holidays are all about giving to others, and I love that. Does that mean we now get gifts for the garbage man, the maintenance guy, the guy who always delivers me Chinese food on Sundays? Where does it start and where does it stop?
