Does Anyone Still Say “Courting?”

Full disclosure here. I've been seeing a girl, and I tell my friends that her and I are "courting."

According to some, this is the wrong thing to say.

I brought said girl to Pray For Snow on Saturday night, and introduced her as "This is (name)...we're courting." Trying to be all cute and chivalrous. Tawsha Box (and numerous coworkers who were present) say it sounds ridiculous, and unfortunately my date agrees.

Looks like I have to come up with new vernacular when referring to my date. It's not official yet, but we're not seeing anyone else, so I guess one could say we're dating? Seeing each other? Talking?

Ugh. Dating is hard.
