Does This Newborn Photo Disrespect The American Flag?

If there's one thing I've seen a lot since Lennox was born, it's been baby pictures.  This photographer is defending herself against critics that say this photo of a US serviceman holding his newborn baby in a vinyl flag prop is desecrating the flag.

The photographer is a Navy veteran and a current military wife herself.  She's surprised with the amount of backlash this photo from a recent newborn shoot has received.  Critics have slammed her and the serviceman in the photo for desecrating the flag.  Do you find it disrespectful to the flag?
