It's the family that has been seeing your Facebook posts throughout the election but hasn't had an opportunity to talk to you about it. It's the family you so rarely see - by design. It's the family you'll spend Thanksgiving with again this year. How do we survive hearing from your crazy uncle and his never-ending political agenda?
Real story:
19-year old Sarah-Jane had made plans to be with her family at Thanksgiving. Knowing that her facebook posts about the election were rubbing her family the wrong way, Sarah-Jane’s mom called to ask if she had planned to be disrespectful to the family. Sarah-Jane said it could work either way “if the things I am saying are disrespectful to Trump supporters, the things they are saying are also disrespectful to me.”
Sarah-Jane’s mom uninvited her daughter to Thanksgiving dinner.
Many aren’t as “lucky” as Sarah-Jane and have to go through the discussion.
