Eagle Island Swimming Area Closed

With highs soaring close to 103º today, you'll probably want to spend the day around water but you won't be doing it at Eagle Island.

According to a message posted on the Idaho Department of Parks and Recreation website the swimming beach at Eagle Island State Park is closed until further notice.  Even though DEQ tests from last week showed no reason for concern, the park is taking precautions after several visitors reported feeling sick to their stomachs and were dealing with other intestinal problems like diarrhea.

The waterslide, picnic areas, disc golf and equestrian areas are still open for you to enjoy.
