Eminem On SNL This Weekend! Rihanna And FUN To Join??

The new Eminem cd, “Marshall Mathers LP2” comes out next week and his performance on SNL this weekend is rumored to blow your minds!  Could the Real Slim Shady be back with a few surprises??  Rihanna?  Fun?  Mmmmm.  You know it wasn’t always like this.

 “Dre sent me to tick the world off!”

Referring to Dr. Dre – He did just that back in 1996!  Eminem went on a lyrical rampage against the boy bands, Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, Spice girls and the list goes on. 

His music was like a reality show.  Eminem showcased being a loner in “My Name Is…”, his fan stunner in “Stan” and wife and daughter in “Haile’s song” .  We learned everything about him through the message.  A blockbuster movie, “8 Mile” and about 19 hit songs later, Eminem crashed.  Long-time friend Proof and fellow band member D12 was killed.  Eminem disappeared and so did the music.

It wasn’t till this Summer that the troubled rapper went on the record with XXL Magazine and said,

"I think it kind of hit me so hard. It just blind-sided me. I just went into such a dark place that, with everything, the drugs, my thoughts, everything. And the more drugs I consumed, and it was all depressants I was taking, the more depressed I became, the more self-loathing I became…

"By the way, I’m just now at the point where I’m better talking about it. It took me so long to get out of that place where I couldn’t even speak about it without crying or wanting to cry… Proof was the anchor."

Struggling with addiction, heartbreak and direction – “I love the way you lie” is produced. Eminem selects controversial singer Rihanna to sing the chorus.  It electrified the music industry and talk shows around the world.  Riri was already center stage with her abusive relationship with singer Chris Brown.  What does this mean?  Who’s she talking about?  OMG!!!

It sold over 6 million copies, listed as his best-selling single and #1 on 26 different music charts.

Is the “Monster” Duo back?  Their new track called, “The Monster”, is already climbing radio charts and could this be part 2 of an already platinum relationship.  Could FUN be a part of this EPIC performance??  Who knows.  I will say this one focuses on a different side of Eminem.  He really talks a lot about his dad and there is NO love loss.  It truly speaks to his fans and opens up another chapter we never really knew about.  Eminem may have never left music, but the real slim shady just stood back up!
