Over the weekend,  I had a chance to check out the soft opening of Eureka!, the new gourmet burger restaurant on 8th Street in downtown Boise! Here's your first look at the new burger and craft beer gastropub! 

The new Downtown Boise restaurant prides it's self on being a scratch kitchen using the freshest, purest ingredients. During the training period, we were offered one of Eureka's starters to enjoy before our meal.  We picked their Truffle Cheese Fries that was served with one of the best firecracker cheese sauces, I've ever tried!

For dinner, I opted for the "Bone Marrow Burger" that I'd read so much about on Yelp! The burger itself is a huge, juicy ground beef patty topped with charbroiled onion, mustard aioli and roasted Roma tomatoes. Sounds like your basic burger dressed up a little, doesn't it? That's where you're wrong! The burger is also topped with a bone marrow porcini mushroom butter.  Eureka uses bone marrow from femur bond of hormone free cattle to make the butter.  It was quite possibly the best burger I've ever eaten!

Want to try it yourself? Eureka's daily quantity of "Bone Marrow Burgers" is limited, but if you get there early enough today you might be lucky enough to score one! Eureka officially opened Monday, October 17th!
