Additional Information

Help raise $15,000 to send a shipment of medical equipment and supplies to a new clinic in northeastern Ghana where medical needs are great.
The Clinic has been funded through Compassion for Africa, a 501(c)(3) organization founded by Dr. Joe Gorman, Associate Professor of Pastoral Theology at Northwest Nazarene University (NNU). The clinic was the inspiration of his daughter, Annie, a sophomore at NNU. Annie has raised the majority of the building funds by baking and selling cupcakes to promote awareness of the great medical need in northeastern Ghana. The clinic opened in March 2015.

The building is complete with electricity and running water. Funds have been raised to start a pharmacy (shelves, locks, medication, and staff). Now Compassion for Africa is partnering with Hands of Hope to raise $15,000 to send an overseas shipping container full of medical equipment and supplies.

The shipment will Equip the Clinic with the following items:

Autoclave, Wheelchairs, Beds, Linens, Carts, Stethoscopes, Blood pressure cuffs, Medical instruments, Sinks and basins, Exam tables, Sutures, Scalpel blades, Generator, Safe to store medicines
The clinic will offer Medical Treatments for:  Typhoid, Cholera, Malaria, Cuts and infections, Snake and dog bites/rabies, Epilepsy, Sexually transmitted diseases, Stomach problems, Rheumatism and goiter, Ear and eye infections, Skin diseases

Medical Services will include:  Immunizations and contraception, Pre and post-natal care, Midwifery, Community Health Education Classes
The clinic will be staffed by locally trained medical professionals.
