Additional Information

A local wild bird survey, the Christmas Bird Count, takes place every winter in Canyon County. Dozens of bird enthusiasts meet on one day near Christmas to search for as many species of birds as can be found. Join Jim Holcomb, Cheryl Huizinga, and Denise Hughes from the Southwestern Idaho Birders Association to learn about the Christmas Bird Count and the species usually found locally. Also get pointers on identifying birds difficult to ID in winter and on favorite nearby winter birding locations.
