One of my favorite college basketball teams has traveled over 2,000 miles and is literally playing in the station's backyard.  I'm devastated that I can't afford a ticket.

First things first, when it comes to college basketball, Boise State is my favorite team. While they may have missed making the tourney this year, all of those last second wins this season made them the most thrilling team to watch in the entire country.

That said, I grew up in Ohio and have been an Ohio State fan my entire life.  Unlike the Broncos, I've never had the opportunity to see them play a basketball game in person so I was stoked when the Buckeyes got seeded in the Treasure Valley! That was, until I looked into tickets. Taking the BSU Athletic Ticket office's advice, I checked out tickets on the official NCAA ticket exchange and there are no tickets for just "Session 1" left. The cheapest balcony seat on StubHub for that session is $250 + fees.

"Session 1" includes the Gonzaga vs UNC Greensboro game in addition to the Ohio State vs South Dakota State match-up.  With Boise's proximity to Spokane, Gonzaga's hometown, there's little chance of ticket prices falling. That's a real bummer for Treasure Valley residents who just want to be part of one of the coolest sporting events to take place in their backyards.

BUT (there's always a but,)  there's still a way to be part of the tournament for FREE! It's not as cool as attending a game, but each of the eight teams scheduled to play in Boise will practice at Taco Bell Arena on Wednesday.  Those practice sessions are FREE and open to the public. If you want to check it out, here's a look at those practice session times!
