The popular summer hangout for singles, couples and families alike is closing it's doors this weekend.

KTVB confirms that Les Bois Park will end all racing operations this weekend following an announcement from the Idaho Racing Commission.  This includes any potential live horse racing as well as satellite racing that took place inside the race track's Turf Club.

The decision doesn't come as a surprise because of the ongoing dispute between track operators and the state government over whether the "instant racing terminals" which closely resembled slot machines were legal in the state of Idaho.  Ultimately they were ruled illegal and removed from Les Bois.

The instant racing machines helped the track break-even in revenue in 2015.

The track will close it's doors for good on Sunday, March 20th. I don't know about you, but I'll miss going to bet on horses with funny names like "Dewey Cox." (That horse paid for my drinks for rest of the evening!)
