First Thursday With Ballet Idaho, The Mode Lounge, Trader Joe’s and Whiskey Bar

It's First Thursday in Downtown Boise and I found three legit spots you'll want to stop through. I have the deats on whiskey, wine, pairings, the ballet experience and more. Let's go!

First Thursday happens the first Thursday of the month and is kind of like a community gathering. Things usually start after 5:00 p.m. and goes until 9:00 p.m. This is just the beginning of the night because several phases happen here (I'll explain later.) You can find live entertainment, tastings, art, and several special events happening in various downtown establishments. I wanted to list three hot spots to keep on your radar if you go downtown.

The Mode Lounge: This is such a trendy spot to have drinks. The Mode Lounge is located on the corner of 8th and Idaho in downtown Boise. You can enjoy specials from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. with a special Ballet Idaho gathering discussing the upcoming season. Ballet Idaho staffers, directors, and dancers will be in attendance. Trader Joes: Who doesn't love their Two Buck Chuck bottle of wines from Trader Joes! Find this trendy grocer with awesome prices first and foremost including those allergen free products. I would personally shop more at Trader Joes if it were closer to home. Joes is doing fun, food, beer and wine tasting from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Find them on the corner of Capitol and Front Street in Downtown Boise.

Whiskey Bar: Get Whiskey Flights and Cheese pairings from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at the Whiskey Bar on the corner of 6th and Main. This place owns the mark on the best Whiskey variety in the state of Idaho. I stopped counting at 200 different types of Whiskeys. This place is just strictly cool and Idaho.
