Fix Ice Dams Using Pantyhose

Reach into your drawer and grab a pair of tights or pantyhose. You're halfway to eliminating an ice dam from your home. It can cost you hundreds, thousands or you can opt for the DIY option.

Ice dams are forming on many of our homes causing leaks and damage to our roofs. If you don't know what an ice dam is or how much to set aside from your dwindling bank account, HERE is a little explanation.

According to the Ice Dam Guys, you can create an "ice dam melter" at home. They give the DIY version.

Get a pair of tights or pantyhose. Let's be real, if you have pantyhose, they haven't been worn probably ever. Grab them and put calcium chloride in a leg. Tie a knot at each end and lay the pantyhose across an ice dam.
