A few weeks ago, a friend of mine was in Boise visiting from San Francisco and a stop by Freak Alley was a must. She's a huge Breaking Bad fan so of course I had to brag about the Boise to Aaron Paul connection and show her the "Breaking Boise" mural in Freak Alley.

Now-- Freak Alley wasn't as busy as usual because we had been bar hopping before hand...it was about 1 O' clock in the morning and I had no idea if it was going to even be lit up back there!  Sure enough it was and honestly, safety in downtown Boise isn't a concern of mine. However...I could have picked a better time to visit Freak Alley.

The face lift that the alley is currently being given could be a change that makes it a little more presentable, even when the sun goes down. There are plans to have several new art installations go in, as well as seating and a small plaza area for gathering. Several downtown businesses are ecstatic because they hope to see the gathering area bring in some business and encourage people to spend more time in the area. However, others are frustrated because the alley's closure is making deliveries
