8 years ago, the staff at 103.5 KISS FM put our heads together to figure how we could bring back one of the most well loved events in the Treasure Valley, The Boise River Festival. The answer? To throw a giant summer concert party at Ann Morrison Park with Bret Michaels, the Backstreet Boys and more! We soon realized that the new Boise Music Festival was much larger than we thought!
That first year, more than 50,000 people flocked to Ann Morrison Park and climbed trees just to see Bret Michaels (fresh off his Celebrity Apprentice win and health scare,) and the Backstreet Boys. After we packed out the park with MC Hammer, Sugar Ray, Andy Grammer and Joan Jett the next year, the festival had to grow and move to it's new home at Expo Idaho!
Every year the line-up has gotten bigger and bigger, bringing 103.5 KISS FM superstars like Nick Jonas, Jason Derulo, LMFAO, Nelly, Carly Rae Jepsen, Sir Mix Alot, LL Cool J, Vanilla Ice, Train and more to the Treasure Valley. We bet you can think back to exactly where you were standing, who you were there with, what you were feeling and how HOT it was does those performances.
Boise Music Festival is more than a concert, it's a feeling! So this year we worked around the clock to bring you the largest line-up yet! This year the concert is on Saturday, June 24th at Expo Idaho. Since you're one of our Friends with Benefits, we can tell you who the first artist on this year's main stage will be! He's someone who we've been dying to bring back to the Treasure Valley for years. He's also someone who took time out his vacation a few years ago to check in with us during Live for 175 and take a stand against child abuse. Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome our first Boise Music Festival headliner!!!
