It's a concept that may be one of the most Boise things I've learned about in a while. From the toilet, to the sewer, to your...beer? Yep, it's happening right here in Boise.

Currently parked in the Treasure Valley is a state-of-the-art trailer, in from Arizona, that is filtering water to be 99.9% pure. That's some clean water--in fact, it's cleaner than the water that comes out of our sinks at home or in the office.

SO, what's happening with this sewer water once it's filtered and cleaned? It's being used by a handful of local breweries to make some sustainable, locally brewed beer. Pretty Boise, right?

Since water makes up about 90% of a beer itself, it's crucial to any brew and having a fully recycled and reused base for this beer is probably any conversationalists dream. But...could you drink it? Of course the beer won't TASTE like the sewer, but there's no hiding the fact that it's where the water came from.
