If you're hitting the road for Labor Day, take solace in the fact that you can totally afford that stick of beef jerky you're eyeing at the gas station.

AAA Idaho director Dave Carlson says the gas prices in Idaho will be the lowers they've been in years:

At $2.46 a gallon, Idahoans are paying the lowest average Labor Day average pump price going back to 2004. Labor Day traditionally delivers fewer travelers than the other summer holidays, in part, because children are in the process of returning to school.

Even though gas will be cheap, you'll still want to drive with caution. Over 35 million drivers are expected on the road this holiday weekend.
