Gold Medalist Visits Meridian Before Rio Games

I'm not going to lie, the Summer Olympics are one of my favorite things under the sun!  One of the women competing in the the Rio Games stopped to raise the Olympic flag in Meridian today.

Growing up I remember watching Misty May and Kerri Walsh own the beach volleyball competition.  Kerri Walsh is now Kerri Walsh Jennings and she'll be playing with a new partner, April Ross in Rio.  Misty retired after the London games.

Citi is one of Walsh Jennings's and Team USA sponsors, so she stopped by to tell the Citi employees about how her and Ross's training is going as she prepares to try to win her fourth consecutive gold medal. She also gave them a motivational speech and signed autographs for the employees before raising the Olympic flag outside the office.

The Olympic games are now 45 days away!
