Gonzaga is Going to the NCAA Championship

The Treasure Valley is excited to see our friends from Spokane make it to the finals.

No one is more excited than our night guy Mateo.

On Saturday, we gathered at The Tailgate Sports Bar & Grill in Boise to watch Gonzaga take on South Carolina. Mateo is a proud Gonzaga grad, and he loves to show it. Loudly.

As the seconds ticked down, Mateo got louder and more animated by the second. It felt like there were more people in the bar watching him than were watching the actual basketball game. As the clock hit zero, he exploded. I've never once in my life seen anyone this happy about anything. Check out the video.

The coolest part about the Zags victory is this will be the first time in the school's history that their men's basketball team makes it to the NCAA finals.

Gonzaga takes on North Carolina tonight at 7:20pm to see who will be crowned the NCAA National Champions. I'm sure Mateo will be watching.
