Happy International Cat Day

Today is the day! It's the most wonderful day of the year! Happy International Cat Day!

It seems like just yesterday I thought cats were stupid. The girl I was dating at the time while living in Spokane had one and she was pretty cool. After a time, that cat grew on me and now, here I am, a proud father of a fun, loving, domestic short hair.

My cat's name is Piccolo and she's been my best friend since I was Sophomore in college at Gonzaga University.  In fact, while I was digging through my crazy cat dad pictures to post today, I found a screenshot of the original craigslist post that I ended up adopting Piccolo from.

I raised this little creature since she fit in the palm of my hand and it's safe to say she is exactly like me. It's almost creepy.  My ex-girlfriend used to get annoyed at how alike we are-what else would you expect, she's my first born!?

This cat and I have moved together and if you're a pet owner, you'll understand when I say she's gotten me through a lot of really tough times.  I never thought I'd celebrate International Cat Day, but here I am-happy as ever to be Piccolo's dad!
