Heading Out This Weekend? Here’s How to Check for Floods and Avalanches

Before you hit the road in the Gem State this weekend, you're going to want to check this out.

The Idaho Transportation Department has comprised a map listing every current road closure due to flooding and avalanches.

The excessive snowfall this winter is still making travel difficult accord to the ITD:

Increasing moisture and warming temperatures (are) mixing with heavy snowpack from a historic winter to create flooding and water-over-the-roadway situations all across the state on state highways and interstate routes.

Luckily, no more snowfall is in the forecast for the Treasure Valley, but this flooding looks like it's going to stick around for a bit.
