Last weekend, one of our sale managers asked for some women who run to help out as a running buddy for Girls On The Run.  It was such an amazing experience to be part of an fabulous organization for the day and this weekend you can help them out too!

For those of you who aren't familiar with Girls On The Run, it’s a running-based, after school program for girls between 3rd and 5th grade.  Their goal is to help the girls develop healthy bodies, minds and relationships.  At the end of their 10 week program, they run a non-competitive 5K and move on with skills for making smart eating choices, saying no to drugs/alcohol and standing up to bullying.  The organization uses donations to fund 5K registrations for the girls, curriculum supplies, background checks/training for coaches, t-shirts, snacks, etc. This weekend, some friends of mine from Kaia FIT are holding a fundraiser for them if you want to help out!

They're holding their 1st Annual "Plank Off" and free public workout at Bronco Elite (1187 W River St, Boise) on Saturday.  It's $25 to participate and they'll be awarding prizes to the men, women and children that can hold a plank (yes, that super difficult ab exercise) the longest! Even if you can't hold the plank super long, you can get in for raffle prizes like restaurant gift certificates, entertainment prizes, pampering items, etc.
As a special treat, World Record Holder Eva Bulzomi will be there to attempt to break her own world record by holding a plan for 22 minutes with a 40 lb weight on her back.  If you have your Saturday free, it's definitely worth checking out and helping a great organization like Girls On The Run!
