It's now the deadliest mass shooting in modern US history. When something like this happens, our instinct is to want to jump in and help. We can.

With 50 people confirmed dead and over 400 injured at a music festival in Las Vegas Sunday night, it's hard to just sit back and do nothing. How can I help? What can we do? Where do we come in?  It's what we all want to know.

Blood drives are taking place in Nevada today but with the amount injured (more info to come), blood will be needed to care for those who are injured.

According to Newsweek, if you aren't in the area, you can donate to the Southern Nevada chapter of the American Red Cross which accepts donations online. You can support the National Compassion Fund which distributes donations from the public to victims of a mass crime. Currently there are blood drives in our area through the American Red Cross - Idaho. Giving blood, in general, is so helpful both locally and when tragedy hits.
